Artist Background:
Dudley Evenson is a multi-media producer, harpist, photographer, and co-founder of independent record label Soundings of the Planet. Over the years, Dudley has shared her soothing voice, guided meditations and music before such noted authors as Deepak Chopra, Joan Borysenko, Larry Dossey and don Miguel Ruiz and during the sound healing workshops that she and her husband, Dean Evenson, teach.
The Evensons are sound healing pioneers and have produced over 60 albums since founding Soundings in 1979. Dudley’s writing and art direction have created the look and feel of the Soundings of the Planet label. The mottos of "Peace Through Music" and “Health Through Music” are reflected in their inspiring music of flute, harp and natural sounds which has been used in hospitals, prisons, schools, yoga and spiritual centers to support people's healing or life process. Dudley and Dean travel worldwide teaching workshops on sound healing and other themes. They have offered their presentations at Walter Reed and other hospitals teaching staff as well as patients dealing with war wounds, other illnesses and PTSD how to use music to support the healing process. Dudley and Dean are producing a comprehensive DVD about sound healing. They continue to be on the cutting edge of music that heals and uplifts, consistently taking people to a place where peace prevails. Dudley and Dean met in 1968. They have three children and one granddaughter. Dudley is writing their autobiography called ‘Living the Dream.’
